I Won A Prize!

Quick blowing of own trumpet: Doormat was awarded the prize for Contemporary Interpretation! Unfortunately, it looks as if I'll need to wait till next year to receive my prize as I can't get to any of the shows before the one in Birmingham, so I need to let the National Needlework Archive know that I would like the presentation to happen there and then. Meanwhile, my ego is enjoying the massage!

Oh, very well done. I bet you're thrilled. Very exciting, but what did you win? (if you don't mind me asking that is)

I gather the prize is a small piece of engraved glassware, a copy of the Poetry in Stitches 2 Book and a commemorative certificate.

Hi!
Congratulations from me too! I really love the controlled colors and the texture! It certainly deserves a prize.

I've really missed reading blogs and leaving comments during the past six weeks while at the MacNamara Foundation on Westport Island, Maine. The Foundation only has a dial-up connection. I had my own broadband but it was also slow. Since returning home on Sunday I've also been knee-high in work but told my husband Steve that this evening just had to be a time for me to surf on-line and especially to thank several of the people who left comments on my blog while I was gone. The comments really meant the world to me. Being around a group of highly educated, very articulate, and completely accomplished, professional artist can be a bit intimidating. The support and encouragement I found through blog comments were often my strength. Thank you so much for being part of all that positive energy!
